Assign and amend traceable numbers

If you don't select the option Numbers must be recorded when goods are received in Stock Control settings Options tab, then you will need to assign the traceable numbers manually to the stock items at a later time. Until you assign the numbers, using the Assign Batch/Serial Nos option, you will not be able to issue or despatch the stock.

You can amend batch or serial numbers and certain details relating to the batch/serial items after the details have been set up. In addition to amending the numbers, you can amend the Sell By and Use By dates and the reference that is assigned to an item.

Note: You cannot amend a batch quantity this way. If you want to amend the quantity of a batch, use the Purchase Order Processing module.
